Our choice for professional screenwriting software is Final Draft and Movie Magic Screenwriter 2000. They're both about the same price, and the industry seems to be pretty much divided down the middle with their preference. Presently, it's not an easy call. They're both excellent screenwriting programs. For your consideration, we went through the trouble of compiling side-by-side, high-profile comments/remarks about these two outstanding, professional screenwriting programs.

Our selection for professional story structure software goes to John Truby's Blockbuster. We highly recommend this software in conjunction with Truby's Great Screenwriting audio course. The fifteen (15) hour audio course is the heart of Truby's Writer's Studio. In our opinion, Truby is certainly one the best, if not the best, script doctor in the movie industry today. If you can't afford both—right now, we suggest you forego the software and purchase the Great Screenwriting audio class. You can always write your screenplay without the assistance of story structure software. But, you can not write a professional screenplay without a solid foundation in story structure. More on story structure theories and how they relate to today's software.
